Meet Geneva Wallace-Switzer
Owner
As the daughter of the founder of an outdoor retailer, Geneva Switzer grew up surrounded by the outdoor furniture industry. Today, she is the owner of Designer’s Patio, where she focuses on leading the business, supporting the team, and continuing the legacy her family built.
While you’ll rarely find Geneva discussing fabric selections or frame finishes with clients, you will always find her championing the people behind the company and ensuring Designer’s Patio continues to grow with the same values on which it was founded. Her decades of experience, entrepreneurial spirit, and unwavering dedication have helped shape Designer’s Patio into the business it is today. Outside the office, Geneva’s greatest passion, is her children. They are the center of her world and the driving force behind everything she does.
Meet Shawna Lawyer
Manager / Sales Concierge
Creativity has always been at the heart of who Shawna is. Long before her design career officially began, she was constantly rearranging her childhood home, imagining fresh ways to elevate every room, and even turning her family’s Christmas tree into something delightfully unexpected each holiday season. She has always loved expressing a unique style—sometimes bold, sometimes funky, but always completely authentic.
For the past 15 years, that same passion has guided her work. As Showroom Manager, Shawna oversees staging and buying, thoughtfully selecting and curating pieces to create spaces that feel elevated, unique, and warm. She truly loves blending the unexpected with the beautiful—thoughtfully layering textures, colors, and layouts to give every outdoor space its own distinct personality.
While the creative process itself is fulfilling, Shawna’s favorite part of this journey is connecting with clients. She loves learning what inspires you, understanding how you live in your space, and helping you cultivate a style that feels authentic, functional, and tailored to your lifestyle. Over the years, she has learned that true success relies on consistency, clear communication, and reliable follow-through, and she prides herself on each of those characteristics.
Outside of work, Shawna loves to dance, host parties, bake, work out, and spend time with her family and friends. She looks forward to working together to bring your vision to life!
Meet Joey Gibson Tallmon
Assistant Manager / Sales Concierge
He accidentally became an outdoors person.
Growing up in a small town in East Texas, “the outdoors” mostly meant dirt, bugs, and mosquitoes—not luxury living. After moving to Dallas and joining Designer’s Patio in 2021, first in our warranty and orders department and later in sales, he discovered just how beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces can be.
Working with luxury furniture lines has given him a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship, performance, and engineering that make quality outdoor furnishings worth the investment. Thankfully, our furniture doesn’t turn lobster red like he does when left in the sun!
With a background in business, retail, and resale, he loves helping clients create outdoor spaces that are both beautiful and practical. He’s also unapologetically blue-obsessed, so if you ask for his opinion, there’s a very good chance he’ll vote for the blue option every time. When he’s not at the showroom, you’ll usually find him relaxing with his dogs or catching a musical.
Meet Pamela Williams

Designer’s Patio is truly a family business, and Pamela has been part of it from the very beginning. As Geneva’s aunt, she has helped support the company through every chapter while becoming the behind-the-scenes powerhouse responsible for shipping and accounts payable.
With a smile on her face and a coffee at the ready, Pamela works tirelessly to help our clients receive the best freight rates available, coordinate shipments, and make sure products get where they need to go. She also keeps the business humming as our resident invoice assassin, making sure bills, payments, and paperwork stay firmly under control.
When she isn’t chasing freight quotes or conquering invoices, you’ll usually find Pamela spending her weekends cheering from the sidelines at her grandson’s sporting events.
Meet Niyah Brown
Warranty Manager
When something goes awry, Niyah is the calm in the storm. With what can only be described as the patience of a saint, she helps guide clients through everything from freight damage to warranty concerns that may arise long after their furniture has been delivered.
Serving as the liaison between our clients and vendor partners, Niyah works to make the claims process as clear, smooth, and painless as possible. When she’s in the showroom, she also keeps the team moving by assisting with orders, paperwork, and all the behind-the-scenes details that help everything run smoothly.
Outside of Designer’s Patio, Niyah brings her creative eye to her own photography business, Niyography.
